I literally do not know what to do and might just get them to delete my EA account entirely and start fresh since the game is free on steam now.

The app is not great, it has a looooooong way to go yet, but it's better than using deprecated software. The ea app just replaced my origin app (I didn’t download it) but now I can’t figure out how to repair my game and I need to. I contacted EA support and they said they couldn't help me because it was an "internal" issue and marked my case as solved. I should mention that I had installed The Sims 4, Dragon Age Inquisition and Need for Speed Heat when I switched, DAI and NFSH being from Steam and TS4 from Origin, all carried over and worked normally after. This is what mine keeps doing and idk how to fix it. Open the task manager and 'end task' anything related to EA. Now I can't download a game I paid for back in 2018 bc they have this dumb system that doesn't let me open thee game on their new app or their old one. When that happens, close the EA app (including from the system tray). Now when I open origin it says "the ea app is your new home for pc gaming." And will not let me download the sims through origin. they made like 30 people really happy and disappointed everyone else. Unlike Sims 3, you can't torrent individual DLC and slap them into the base game. Give the base out for free, and then focus all the revenue on DLC purchases. I feel like that's the smartest move with this game rn. Then I downloaded origin and forced end task on EA. saw these on facebook, they were gone within 5 minutes. The game is free for a limited time then you keep it forever. I tried Uninstalling sims and reinstalling which didn't work.

I don't have any mods I just have one pack which is city living. Everytime I attempt to open sims 4 it says that it's unable to start due to missing game data or something to do with mods and says to try downloading sims through origin.
